5 Ways To Make Your iPhone More Secure

The iPhone is one of the most secure device out there but what can you do to make it even more secure?

Well here are 5 things you can do to make your iPhone even more secure!

1)Use Long Custom Alphanumeric Code

As the touch ID & Face ID is very fast and convenient  method to unlock your iPhone hence it makes your interaction with the lock screen far less that it used to be without these unlocking mechanisms,So it's not a bad idea to keep a Alphanumeric Code as your lock-screen code instead of  a simple 4 digit numeric code. Here is a video demonstrating why it's better to use a Alphanumeric code.(Click Here)
You can do change your pass-code type by going in Settings>Touch/FaceID & Passcode>Change Passcode>Passcode Options.
You can also select an erase data option if the pass-code is typed incorrectly 10 times in a row by going in Settings>Touch/FaceID & Passcode>Erase Data, but remember you cannot recover it so it's better not to forget the passcode.

2)Don't give Control Center & Siri an access on the Lockscreen

If you are one of those 65% active iOS11 users then you might be aware with all the newly redesigned control center and even siri,Apple has added so many new things into the control center and also have given Siri some more power over the system although your iPhone is locked.ex: Imagine your iPhone is lost and it will be a bit harder for someone to disconnect it from the internet so you may have a better chance to find it and it could be even better if your Bluetooth was turned on as you also might be able to ping it if you have an Apple watch without worrying that someone might disconnect it.
You can do this by going in Settings>Touch/FaceID & Passcode>(And turn off the options you want to)

3)Always Keep Find My iPhone ON

This is the most important thing you can do to keep a track of your iPhone is keeping find my iPhone ON as you can track it's location anytime or ping it or even turn on lost mode and erase it!
You can track your iPhone by clicking here.(or by any other mobile Apple device's find my iPhone App).
For turning on Find my iPhone go in Settings>(Your Name)>iCloud>Find my iPhone.

4)Giving no extra permissions to an third party App.

You should never give any extra or unnecessary app permissions to any not trusted third party App as it might be possible that the App could be tracking your daily routine like your locations!
You can see app specific permissions by going in
Settings>(Name of the App)>(it's settings)

5) Safety While Browsing

The internet is full of hackers trying to get into your personal data so it's best to do everything you can do to prevent it!
You can turn on "Block All Cookies" and "Ask Website Not To Track Me" by going into
Settings>Safari>(And turning on the respective settings).
You can find the same settings for a third party browser in it's settings.

Note: All of the above stated tips are in a reference with the current iOS11.2.5 dev.beta 7 demonstrated on an iPhone 7 Plus so the settings may change with future iOS updates, and if you need any help in future feel free to comment on here!
