Apple September Event 2017

Apple's September event was held last night at the all new Apple Park in the all new Steve Jobs theater.The event started off at 10:00 AM PT that's 10:30 PM IST and oh boy the event was long and saturated with all the new beautiful products that we are going to take a look at today.
As the event was being held in the new Steve Jobs theater,Tim started off the event by remembering it's north star,the man who was desperate to change the world,the back bone of Apple, Steve Jobs. 

Tim also briefed us about it's all new Apple park,Tim stated it's All 100% run on renewable energy and is one of the worlds largest on site solar installations in the Apple park. Tim also told us about the visitor center that will be inaugurated later this year including a new Apple Retail store.
Apple later briefed us about it's new Today at Apple campaign stating how it helps the next generation of App developers learn basics of Swift.Today at Apple also teaches photography using portrait mode on iPhone.
They also told us about their all new Apple store opening in Michigan Avenue,Chicago on 20th of October 2017.

Finally after all the news the event headed toward their products starting with Apple Watch and introducing 

Apple Watch Series 3

This generations of Apple watch focuses on making it more independent rather than dependent on the iPhone by giving it capability connect to cellular directly by integrating the radio and other antennae directly on it's OLED display and adding a  e-sim that is a fraction of a size on a nano sim that connects to the respective mobile carrier(The same number as the iPhone).This helps the series 3 to call,text and talk to Siri anytime anywhere,And now we can stream Apple music live from the watch directly all due to the new cellular connectivity.Now even Siri on watch speaks due to the new dual core processor that delivers upto 70% more processing power.Apple also added a new W2 chip to the watch for Bluetooth and wireless connectivity that helps the watch to delivers 85% faster WiFi with 50% more efficiency.They also added a barometric altimeter for number of stairs climbed etc.

Apple also introduces some new bands and cases for the watch,the band being sports loop and the casing being a space grey ceramic finish.
So the Apple watch Series 3(Without cellular) costs $329 and with cellular $399,Apple also still kept the series 1 in the line up at $249.(Removing series 2 as it's just series 3 without cellular).
Orders starting in September 15 and available by September 22.This was the update on Apple watch by Apple

Apple TV



The Apple TV 4K Gen. now comes with 4K HDR powering it up with it's A10X fusion chip making it's CPU performance 2X faster and GPU by 4X when compared to the current Apple TV.Apple also added 4K content to itunes with the same price as of HD.So now the Apple TV line up starts at $149 for 32GB 4th Gen Apple TV and $179 for 32GB Apple TV 4K or $199 for 64GB variant,with it's orders starting form 15th September and ships on 22nd September.


Finally Tim turns the event for what we all were waiting for and thats iPhone,starting with

iPhone 8

Our all new iPhone 8 gets a new design touch by the addition of glass,and don't mistake it with any glass.It's the worlds toughest glass that a smartphone has ever seen making it microscopically sealed for water and dust resistance.The display of iPhone 8 and 8 Plus are Retina HD display obviously with 3D touch but whats new here is the new true tone addition to it making it more easier on user's eyes.It also has cinema wide color gamut.The new stereo speakers now are 25% louder than the iPhone 7 with deeper base.This all is powered by Apple's brand new A11 Bionic chip that makes is the most powerful and smartest chip in a Smartphone ever.The A11 Bionic consists of 6 Cores of which 4 are low power cores and 2 are of higher power.It's a 64 bit architecture chip with 4.3 billion transistors in it.The A11 Bionic makes iPhone 8 and 8 Plus 25% faster than A10 in the two high performance cores and 75% faster in 4 low power cores and in addition to it the 2nd Gen. Apple designed performance controller is 70% faster in multithread workloads.If we talk about it's GPU then it's 30% faster than the A10 with 1/2 the power consumption and it didn't stop here the A11 bionic gets a new gen. image signal processor that helps it to deliver faster auto focus in low light and helps in pixel processing with hardware multiband noise reduction.Our new iPhone also gets a all new 12MP camera sensor that is larger and faster providing 83% more light in and being more power efficient at the same time.It also has deeper pixels and a new color filter with wider dynamic range and less noise in the photo also due to the OIS. Where as iPhone 8 Plus gets 2 new sensors in its dual camera of 1.8 and 2.8 apertures with dual OIS.It also gets a new portrait lighting mode that lights up the portrait photo by analysis of the user's face with the help of the A11 bionic chip and machine learning that lights it up just like some studio lighting in real time with post selection of the effect too.Apple also stated that iPhone 8 has the highest quality of video capture ever in a smartphone that records at 4k 60fps due the new Apple designed video encoder that does real time image and motion analysis to predict changes in the content and optimize the video encoding algorithm and boy it didn't stop here,it now can record 1080p at 240fps. As we all know apple make a AR kit in the new iOS 11 well now they factory calibrated it for a seamless integration on AR.Here are some live applications of it's AR kit



and by the way the constellations you see are actually present right there! and the same is for the baseball game.iPhone 8 now supports advance LTE with download speeds up-to 1GBPS and Bluetooth 5.0 and as it's a glass back iPhone it could also wirelessly charge with all the Qi certified chargers like Belkin or even at Starbucks.
Phone 8 starts at 699$ and is available in 64 and 256 GB variant.
Where as the iPhone 8 Plus starts at $799 in the same 64 and 256 GB variant and are available in Gold,Space Grey and Silver with pre-order starting form September 15 and available by September 22. Apple will also give us iOS11 on September 19.
And then we got what we have been waiting form past one year,our 10th Anniversary edition iPhone.

iPhone X

The iPhone X is all screen with it's display fitting edge to edge and having a screen to body ratio of 81.49%,it has glass on the front as well as the back just like the iPhone 8 and iPhone8 Plus and supports wireless charging.Although the design difference when compared to other iPhone models is that the chaise,it is now made up of stainless steel which is a lot harder than the 7000 series Aluminum use in other iPhones.Obviously its water and dust resistance just like the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus or say 8 and 8 Plus.Also a major design differentiating factor is it's all new 5.8" OLED display AKA super retina display.It ships with a resolution of 2436x1125 i.e over 2.7 million pixels or say 458ppi.It's display also supports HDR,Dobly Vison & HDR10, one million to one contrast ratio,color accuracy,3D touch and true tone.Now as you can see the display covers all the front of the iPhone X and hence there is no space for a home button or say a fingerprint sensor.So How do you unlock it?Here is when the notch comes into play,it's packed with all the dope tech you can think of,it has a infrared camera,a flood illuminator,a ambient light sensor,a speaker,a microphone,front camera and a dot projector.

What is intresting is that all of this tech. add up to make a new replacement or our old and gold touch ID,it's called face ID.It scans your face in 3D not in 2D like other typical smartphones that makes it the most secure way to unlock your iPhone or in general any phone.Apple also has added a new feature into the iPhone X using the new Face ID called Animoj, what this does is preety cool,it maps your face and make the emoji's expression as your expression in real time which then you can send anyone via imessage or save it to your camera roll and send it to someone via any 3rd party app.

The removal of the home button also makes it use all kind of new gestures like just a simple swipe up to go home and many more,all of them will be discussed in our full review.Now let's come to the camera, well the camera is mostly the same shared with iPhone 8 but has dual OIS for better low light photo and stability ,this is what made the iPhone X get a DXO rating of 97 but more on that in our full review!


This was all the event about iPhone X will be shipping on the 3rd of Nov. 2017 with starting from 999$ for the 64GB base model and going upto 256GB model.Also to note it comes in only two colors space grey and silver.
